The first time this happened to me, I was so thoroughly shocked that I stood with my mouth open like a goldfish.

The second time this happened to me, I gently reminded the acquaintance that it is unacceptable behaviour and that if I liked someone’s hair, I would have the social decency to not go up to them and grab it to get a better look.

The third time this happens, I will not be so polite whether it’s a stranger, acquaintance or friend. The two times this has happened, it has been moving my tank top strap to take a better look at my chest piece. If you want to know what it is, ask.

A perfect example that happened at a party this Saturday:
“What have you got under your arm?”
*twists arm around to show them*
“Oh, nice. Not something you see everyday. I like them.”

This is tattoo etiquette, moving my body or clothing to get a better look is not.
